Water levels on the main stem of the Ottawa river from Lac Deschênes down to the Montreal region should increase gradually starting Sunday into Monday in response to higher inflows from the southern portion of the basin. However, water levels and flows are expected to remain below normal, for this time of the year, over the next few days. Most reservoirs throughout the basin remain empty in preparation for the spring freshet.
