Water levels and flows on the lower river reach of the Ottawa River may increase slightly over the next few days in response to precipitation received on the south east portion of the basin. With cold weather prevailing in the central and northern parts of the basin, water levels and flows elsewhere along the main stem of the river are expected to remain fairly stable over the next few days and will remain below normal for this time of year. Most reservoirs throughout the basin remain empty in preparation for the spring freshet.
